The RAF Association (RAFA) Club, in Grove Road, Northampton was recently forced to close after a long history dating from the Second World War. The club’s unique stained glass window showing the RAFA logo has been rescued by the neighbouring RAFA Club in Bedford where it has been framed and lit by Lite-House Limited using the company’s LED Lightbox technology.
Lite-House Managing Director, Peter Sargent said: “We were pleased to be able to donate our services to this historic charitable institution so that this beautiful piece of wartime art can be saved and enjoyed by the club members for many years to come in its new home.”
The lighting is designed in such a way that the detail of the glass is displayed at its best using diffused LED light in a slim framework suitable for permanent display.
